No longer a Virgin

Goodbye to reading the back of CD's to see if I should buy them. Goodbye to stumbling upon books from rockstars that I would have never discovered. Goodbye to overpriced but extreamly cool band t-shirts. Goodbye to waving up at the sexy DJ in the booth. Goodbye Virgin Mega Store.... I wonder what will join you in the grave next.

Music

I am blessed to live in a city where seeing live music every night is a reality. Luckly, I get to experience that on the regular. I also have some amazing friends who are constantly sharing new bands/artists/songs with me. This post is for the love of music and the happiness it brings me!!

Hott Girl Check In

Hellooo Sarah Shahi... the L Word was never the same without you Carmen

California... where dreams come true

California is in a budget crisis and people are calling for the solution to be legalization of weed. YAY! California was one of the first states in the nation to legalize medical marijuana. Currently, $200 million in medical marijuana sales are taxed. If passed, the Marijuana Control, Regulation and Education Act (AB 390) would give California control of pot in a manner similar to alcohol, while prohibiting its purchase to citizens under age 21. State revenues would be derived from a $50 per ounce levy on retail sales of marijuana and sales taxes. By adopting the law, California could become a role model for other states.

AMAZING... now let me start looking for a bed and breakfast to buy there :)

Rachel Maddow Show

Where have I been? Last night I caught the Rachel Maddow show on MSNBC and was so impressed with her guests, topics and ability to relate to someone my age. I know we are getting older and maybe I should have a broader political knowledge base already but honestly I can only watch so much CNN without being bored. Last night Rachel discussed Obama's pick for the new Drug Czar and also had Meghan McCain on the show. Meghan has caught the attention of many politicians lately with her blog writing and strong comments regarding a change needed in the republican party. Very very interesting to hear from McCain's daughter. Also, the new drug czar nominee Gil Kerlikowske comes from Seattle and has passed laws there that people should not be arrested for merely possessing marijuana. Amazing. Also amazing, that I learned all that in about 20 minutes because Rachel is entertaining, funny and smart. Anyway check out her show at 9pm on MSNBC.

Abnormally Attracted to Sin

Me too girl. Me too. Amazing album title. I am excited to listed to Tori's new music as I have been a fan since Little Earthquakes. Her voice and piano skills are so original and her songwriting is beautiful, deep and twisted. Some might even call them sinful.

St. Germaine Cocktails and Dreams

Sometime this week I am going to find a sexy bar that stocks this and have a drink with my namesake liquor. The link below tells a little more about the product and founders (who by the way do not have the last name St. Germaine)
